Shippensburg is located in the scenic Cumberland Valley of South-Central Pennsylvania, right on the line between Franklin and Cumberland counties. With the nearby Pennsylvania Turnpike and I-81, it is just a short driving distance from many metropolitan centers including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Washington, DC.
Settled in the 1730's, Shippensburg offers a desirable balance of industry, agriculture, and education. Shippensburg was rated 27th in Norman Crampton's 1995 book, 100 Best Small Towns in America.

The Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Breakfast Meeting will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2009 at the Shippensburg Area Middle School located at 101 Park Place, Shippensburg. The Breakfast begins at 7:15am. Please RSVP by January 8th
22 After Hours Mixer
Deerfield Commons Rentals will be sponsoring the January After Hours Mixer on January 22, 2009. After Hour Mixers begin at 5:30 - 7:30pm.
26 Joint Service Dinner
The Lions Club, Rotary, Kiwani & Chamber of Commerce will host a 'Joint Service Dinner' at Premier Events on Jan. 26, 2009. Guest speaker will be Chuck Rhodes from abc27 News. RSVP to Chamber Office: community@shippensburg.org
